Classification and Material

The ZLV Soft Shaft Hard Shaft 80 Chrome-plated Rod Optical Shaft comes in five different classes:

  1. Standard Linear Optical Shaft (SF): Made from SUJ2 equivalent to GCr15, with hardness HRC60±2, hardened layer depth of 0.8-3mm, surface roughness RA0.10m-RA0.35m, and straightness under 70um/1000mm.
  2. Chrome-plated Linear Optical Shaft (SFC): This variant features a hard chromium layer that makes it suitable for rust-prone environments and industrial robots, as well as automatic slip system devices.
  3. Chrome-plated Soft Shaft (RSFC): The thick chromium layer allows its use for precision piston rods and self-lubricating bearings. It’s widely used in various fields due to its moderate hardness.
